the ai research project 'slimp' is investigating new methods of image and video material creation.

the production of video material, especially in the depiction of liquids such as oil and slime, has traditionally relied on analog production techniques. oils and colored, thick as well as thin liquids were used to create fascinating visual effects. However, thanks to the advancing development of artificial intelligence, a far more abstract approach is possible.

With the technique of "text to video prompting," it is now easy to combine these liquids in innovative ways. in this case, abstract and organic structures, different behaviors, movements, materials, perspectives and timelapses of growing processes such as corals or climbing plants can be integrated.

artificial intelligence enables the generation of complex patterns and shapes.in this study, more than 80 different video clips were generated.

the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur as artificial intelligence contributes to realizing the creative vision.
