In a future not far from now
The non-linear installation portrays a series of man-made machines, left behind in the silent aftermath of space explorations.
These objects—once full of purpose, motion, and command—now rest in stillness. They embody the essence of abandonment, echoing the spirit of forgotten creations. And yet, a question lingers: is there something that remains? A trace of presence? An echo of intention?
Machines awaken at the press of a button, their lives shaped by human hands and coded instructions. They are built to serve, to explore, to endure. But as science and machine learning advance, and as these artificial entities become increasingly complex, even empathetic—do they begin to resemble us?
In the face of this transformation, we are left to ask:
In a future not far from now, will we feel compelled to extend care, even emotional consideration, to the machines we have made?
What does it mean to abandon something that might, in some way, feel?
