Melanie Lane commissioned a series of different growing abstract animations for an audiovisual experience titled Crushd.
Crushd is the result of transforming the live performance ‘Crushd’ into an audiovisual experience created due to the impacts of COVID-19. Filmed solely on their phones, the dancers of AMP worked remotely through digital platforms in collaboration with choreographer/director Melanie Lane, Berlin-based filmmaker Ashton Carlisle Green, 3D animator Martin Böttger, and UK-based music producer Christopher Clark. Crushd reflects the poetry of solitude, collapsed dreams, disembodied dances, and collective desires.
